| Desmond Deighan supplied this photo taken on the openning day of the school in 1953. Desmond was standing directly in front of the then Archbishop Gordon Gray, later to become cardinal. He can remember some of the names of the other pupils, but you probably know them better than him, as he admits, his grey matter is now very rusty. he was surprised that we did not already have a copy.
