School News

It is with regret that the death of Hugh Pettigrew , known to oler FP’s as SHUGHS is noted at the early age of 57. Hugh, who was living in Livingston, West Lothian, died after a short illness.

Bernard Wynn-Williams , a reconstructive dentist, is visiting the U.K. at the beginning of September. I have suggested meeting him in the main bar of the Sheraton Hotel, Lothian Road, on 7th September at 7.30pm, and all who knew him should make an effort to meet him. He is looking forward to the meeting, but not to the extent of buying drinks.

Requests have been made about the whereabouts of Bernard Doyle and Allan Murray . Can anyone help?

A very nice e-mail was received from Mark Tobin Moore , from America, expressing his good wishes to all, and his horror at the outrage of the London bombing.

Bro. Anthony has e-mailed me about a biography being written about Bro. Engel , our 4 th Headmaster from 1964-1977, and successor to Bro. Baylor . He must have been very popular. He has asked those who knew him to e-mail, or write memories, or anecdotes to be included in the biography to

We are able to report that the web site is up and running, thanks to the great work of Maurice Dougan

You can access it on
www.scotusacademy.net .

On it are pictures of classes, sports teams, operas, teachers, the buildings today, lists of ex pupils, trying to split them into class years, and copies of Scotians and prize giving lists.

We are now able to receive any information and pictures you have, and would ask you to name as many people as you can, both in your pictures and the ones already on the web pages.

These should be sent to Maurice Dougan , with copy to Lindsay Wilson

Make certain to tell you mates to access the site. They may contact us .
