Just been reading about Chris Bartholomew, and his zoo visiting antics, I had heard of the wall being torn down in parts but did not venture into the zoo, but I must say it was tempting.

I was sorry to hear about the death of George Lewis MacLeod. He used to be at my house along with Colin lees a lot. We always had some fun. My sister Josephine was shocked when I informed her. I am sure that a lot of people will remember him and it would be nice if we could write our thoughts down about him.

Sorry Charlie,
It's looks like we were/are getting a lot of spammer attacking the guestbook.

Hopefully I have blocked and deleted the majority of them.

Interesting reading - scary hair cuts!! A very bizarre place with many bizarre teachers ( and a few pupils too )

As some others have commented, making it through unscarred at the hands of Messrs Engles ( Harry ) and O'Brien et al meant you were marked out as a survivor.

Now practising law in Dunfermline. Two girls at Uni and Art College.

I’ve been looking at this site again and thinking back to the old days. In 72 or 73 we had a Brother called Leach. Young, no sense of humour and could not control a class. One fine sunny afternoon he was trying to teach us Science. He was telling us about worms and slugs, when he asked the fatal question. (Him) Can anyone tell me of another spineless animal like a worm. Yes you guessed it. (Me) “ Yes Brother, Leech’s. (Him, Shouting and VERY red in the face) “ Get out of here right now McLauchlan. If I remember I got the belt, yet again. Oh happy days.

I have been back living in Edinburgh since 2005,but still working (occassionally)in London and only relatively recently became acquainted with the web site.
It brough back some fond memories and some not so fond -I remember looking at my homework book and seeing 'R' for report; which was code for 'the belt' and trembling at the thought of 'Noddy's' fury.
I did notice a class photo with some familiar names I had not seen before and it was great to read the reports of the old rugby teams. I do not think I would last long in the scrum these days.
Well done for keeping up the web site.
Why no reunion this year ?
Regards
James Boyle

I'm shocked to learn that Noddy Baylor was a pervert. He was such a lovely man. Such committment. Such determination. Such an inspiration to all us young catholics just setting out on our journey through life. At a stroke all my beautiful memories of Scotus shattered. Those golden schooldays forever tainted by that awful little man. What can I say?

just been reading sam cowards notes.I had no idea that there was a keen phtogropher in our midst.I already knew that ricky dimarco took photos, did drawings etc(look on his web sight)while we did different art subjects, such as "pop art" and drawing each other.I must say I was crap at drawing, but it was fun.As for the photos Sam,I was sorry to read that they were destroyed,it would have been great to look at them.As for "Barking"well,it is a mad place but I work in the area part time.thats it for now, until I find something else to chat about
