Dear Sirs,

I am participating in the building of a Website regarding Arthur Oldham (1926-2003) who was an important international chorus master.
Arthur Oldham created and/or managed six important choirs in Europe, such as the Chorus of the Roman Catholic St. Mary Cathedral of Edinburgh (1956-1971), the Edinburgh Festival Chorus 1965-1977 and 1987-1994) , the Scottish Opera Chorus (1966-1974), the London Symphony Orchestra Chorus (1969-1977), the Amsterdam Concertgebouw Chorus (1980-1986)  and the Choeur de l'Orchestre de Paris (1976-2002).

During the  1956-1971 period, Arthur Oldham was also a music teacher at the Scotus AcademyIn a book he has published in London "Living with voices", he tells that he composed, produced, and conducted a musical, The Land of Green Ginger, for the school at which he was teaching.

Searching on the Web, I found your interesting site and I discovered the long article of James M. Hunt's days during his 1954-1960 period at the school.

As I am in charge of writting the chapter on Arthur Oldham 's life for our Website, I would like to mention the Scotus Academy where he was a music teacher. It is why I would ask you two questions:

1) Could you give us the authorisation to use the photograph of the Scotus Academy presented on the Welcome page of your Website ? (with the reference of your site)
2) And the authorisation to use data from the short history of the Scotus Academy presented on the same page ? Perhaps have you other data on the subject ?

I thank you very much in advance for your help. (Please, excuse me for my bad English writting)
Yours sincerely

P.S.: My wife was for years, a soprano of the Choeur de l'Orchestre de Paris under Arthur Oldham's direction.
She left after Arthur retired from the Choir (June 2002)
After Arthur died (May 2003), former French Arthur's choristers founded an Association  "Les Amis d'Arthur" in order to maintained the memories of musical experiences at a high level they lived with their chorus master and to make known his compositions (about 50 works).
In this context, we are preparing a the Website I cited above. I hope it will be available for consultation on June 2006.
As soon as possible, I will provide you with the adress of this site entitled "Les Amis d'Arthur".
